St Tammany Parish

For those of you from St Tammany Parish thinking about going back to take a look at your homes, please don't go. There is nothing you can do right now. It's dangerous, there are electrical lines on the ground, trees all over the roads...every road. You will wind up getting in the way more than you help. Besides this, the Sheriff's department is not allowing people to exit I-12 in St Tammany.

To the People who were affected by Hurricane Katrina:

On behalf of myself and others in the United States of America, we wish to extend our deepest condolences for any loss of life that occurred during this past week due to Hurricane Katrina. And we also understand the loss of property as well and know that all affected will recover. We will stand together as a Nation and help you all at all costs. You all will prevail.

Sincerely,

Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, is offering immediate assistance to college students who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Many students have paid their tuition for the upcoming fall semester to one of the universities closed because of hurricane damage and refunds are uncertain at this time.

Therefore, Randolph-Macon College is offering free tuition and room for the 2005 fall semester to students who have this need. The college also has created additional residential spaces for these students if they need to live on campus.

Randolph-Macon College opens later than many other universities; classes begin Monday, Sept. 5 and enrollments will be accepted until Friday, Sept. 9.

“Our hope is that this effort will provide some relief to those students who have been affected by this terrible disaster and give them the opportunity to begin or continue their education this fall without interruption,” said R-MC President Roger H. Martin. “I know our R-MC community will extend a warm welcome to them.”

All correspondence should be directed to Steven Nape, R-MC’s director of admissions at (804) 752-7305 or at snape@rmc.edu.

To The People of Countries that have helped the USA:

We would like to thank you all for your generous contributions and words of support during this disaster in the United States of America. These are American Citizens not Black or White people or even Refugees, they are human beings like yourselves that need the love and respect due any human being at any time. The President of the United States does not hate Black people or any other race. The President is doing the best he can considering the odds at this time. The comments made by those not in direct contact with Katrina's destruction have no idea what happened and are casting stones of ignorance. We Americans respect our President and all he is doing and will stand with him to the end.

Sincerely,
Judah Ben-Hur

Amazing...the amount of raw bigotry that is out there. Why don't you stand there and look stupid rather than opening your mouth(or typing what you think) and removing all doubt.

To: The 95 countries that helped Katrina victims!

On behalf of myself and the American people we humbly thank you all for your generous support during these trying times of disaster relief for all of the victims that
were directly and indirectly affected by the Katrina Hurricane. We also humbly thank you as well as others who are helping to save our dear friends, the animals that are always forgotten in times of distress but yet are always our true friends. We are keenly aware as are others that this great nation of America when cut also bleeds like all others and in time as others do, will heal. We are embarrassed and we deeply apologize for exposing to the world the truth of our poor and helpless. It demonstrates that we as a nation have to respond to our own first before we can become beacons of hope to others. Please accept this letter as a sincere token of our genuine appreciation for helping us all realize that the United States of America is part of a bigger and better planet called Earth.

Sincerely,
Judah Ben-Hur
