Thanksgiving
First, I have no idea why I haven't posted in so long...except maybe the fact that I've been working VERY LONG HOURS and simply haven't had the time.
This is the first Thanksgiving that we didn't spend with my dad. Dad left for Iraq 2 Sundays ago and he is over there now. My brother has been there since early October, in Baghdad. Dad is south of Baghdad, in charge of a load of construction projects. He works with/for the Corps of Engineers and wears camo and all that other equipment, but no firearm. Doesn't that just bite? I mean they let the terrorists carry them...why not a former military man...no fairness in this world, huh?
Dad sent me some pictures of a place he visited that a few of you may have heard of...this guy's house over there, his name was Abraham...
Does that totally rock or what? My dad walked around in Abraham's house! He sat down where Abraham probably sat down, stood in and walked through the doorway Abraham used...it simply awes me to touch a piece of History that significant...the Father of so many....whew!
So, Thanksgiving...my family, my sister, my mom, and my sister-in-law and her kids from Tennessee were all here. We had a marvelous time and there is simply too much to tell. Candice and the kids are going back with Cherilynn and hers to TN so I'm baching for a while...between work and work projects there may be some time for sleeping...that'll be about it.

Glad to hear y'all are alive and well. You should blog more. If you're too busy, you should cut back on sleeping or something.
